This plant serves the Inishowen Regional Water Supply Scheme. Water is delivered to the WTP via an 800mm gravity line from the Eddie Fullerton Dam, with the current daily demand at the plant identified at circa 12.5 Ml/d.

The upgrade works involved the construction of a new contact tank, new chemical dosing systems and soda ash dosing for an increased design daily throughput of 20.5Ml/d. Streamflow Engineering partnered with Veolia Water Ireland and provided Process, Hydraulic and Mechanical design services on the project.
